I have a few quick shots of some of the Science Fair entries for this year at OLPH School. I'm a big fan of science fairs.
While not all the projects required the use of soldering, welding, power tools and computers there were enough to make my heart go pitty pat.
A common theme with many of the projects was electricity,
I wish I had more time to spend taking pictures and a better camera many of the pictures I took didn't turn out,
I spent nearly 30 minutes on these two projects. The one of the right is a trebuchet and I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it. It is a great device.
The one on the left is about genetics and after reading the paper I decided I had to spend some time on the computer tonight reading about it.
I still don't understand what it was about. And that is the part I liked about this show the most. Many times I don't go away from a Science Fair any smarter then when I walked in. That wasn't the case here. I walked out of the Fair and was very excited to rush to my computer and follow up on the things I learned.
I'd like to congratulate the 6th, 7th and 8th grades for putting on a show I couldn't help be be interested in.
